When I discovered the. inspirational antique Rose of Sharon quilt, I was immediately enchanted and I christened it "Quilted Joy" as every busy inch exudes joyfulness and makes one smile. Full of charming details: from the happy birds and berries to the unique floral border. From that first moment, I wanted to recreate it and you will want to join in too

Neutral background/border – 1 1/8 yards, Green leaves, bias vines, bias stems (small print) – 1 ½ yards, Red flowers, birds (solid) – ¾ yard, Blue berries & binding (small print) – ½ yard, Blue flowers (solids) – 2 fat quarters, Yellow/cheddar birds, flowers (stripes/striped floral) – 3 fat quarters, Pink birds (striped floral) – fat quarter, Embroidery floss – brown, blue
Supplies: Sewing thread to match your appliques, Fabric scissor and small sharp scissors and paper scissors, Pins, Freezer paper, Applique needles (I use Kimball’s size 10 straws), Rotary cutter/ruler/mat, ¼” bias bar/maker of your choice
