Description: This beautiful heirloom silk sewing reticule is a wonderful way to carry your items (thread, needles, thread wax, scissors etc.) to handwork classes and to use when you are mending, sewing on buttons, doing embroidery or whatever. I made 5 of these to give to my daughters and daughters-in-law. They all use it when they need to do handwork. First we will silk embroider one of the 8 triangles on the outside of the reticule. Next we will make the contrasting inside pockets that carry the scissors, buttons, thimble or whatever you want to add. Next, we will make the pin cushion and the holder for the spools of thread. Then we will make the cording out of Perle cotton. And I will describe the finishing. Please note that we cannot finish the entire project in just 6 hours. I will prep the kits to have as much work done ahead of class time.
