322 Intro to Kawandi Style Quilting – Tammy Gunther
Thursday Afternoon October 8, 2:30-5:30 pm
Member Price - $35
Non-Member Price - $45
Description: We will teach the basics of Kawandi-style quilts by making a placemat size patchwork piece. This technique is done all by hand and is a relaxing and portable project that can be made as large or small as you like once you learn how. We will use big-stitch style hand sewing with Perle cotton to create a unique patchwork completely by hand. Using your favorite fabric scraps makes each piece unique. The pieces are sewn one-by-one in an improv style without a pattern. The sewing is meant to be relaxing, and we embrace the imperfections while we learn.
